Opened to the general public on October 1, 2021, Expo 2020 Dubai ran through March 31, 2022. Hosted in Dubai South across a 438-hectare site, the Expo brought together 192 participating countries under the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.” The event welcomed more than 24 million visits and served as a global platform for innovation, sustainability, mobility, and opportunity, while laying the foundation for the long-term legacy district now known as Expo City Dubai.

ProFun’s involvement in Expo 2020 Dubai was during the early concept development phase. Working alongside Thinkwell, the concept master planner, ProFun provided operational input and insight based on prior World Expo and large-scale event experience. Our role focused on contributing operational perspective to the master planning process, including guest flow, capacity planning considerations, operational zoning, back-of-house planning, and long-term legacy functionality, helping to align the creative vision with practical operational realities.
